About us

We are Johnna and Rob Zeigler, owners of Oregon Rain Soap company and Oregon Rain Naturals, LLC. We are a family owned and operated local business in the Pacific Northwest, near Portland, Oregon in a rural town called Sherwood. We make high quality, reasonably priced and naturally made products. I’ve been making soap since 1990. Soapmaking has been in my family since the late 1970’s. I was around nine years old when my mom, Elayne, started making soap. My mom and dad made unscented oatmeal soap for all of my upbringing. I had never used scented soaps until I went to college but I had adverse reactions to all the store bought soap. After I graduated college with a teaching degree, I wanted to try making soap for myself. With the help of my parents, they leant me the molds my dad built and taught me how to make soap from my heart. I knew then that I really wanted to make soap and sell it, calling it Oregon Rain Soap. But life continued on and that dream was set aside. I continued to make unscented soap just for my family and friends. It wasn’t until I met my husband Rob that I started adding scent to the soap. He knew how much I loved scents, so he bought me my first essential oil; lavender. Rob helped me make my first lavender batch and it was amazing. Everyone went crazy over it! Rob enjoyed soapmaking with me so we spent many hours researching and experimenting with different scents and herbs. I can honestly say, my husband made my dreams come true because in 2003 we started Oregon Rain Soap! Since then we have expanded into liquid foaming soaps, lotions, candles, lip balms, bath salts, aromatherapy essential oils and sprays. And in 2019 we added Oregon Rain Naturals, LLC to expand our product lines. I hope you feel the love and care we put into all of our products! Our petroleum free, all natural Green Tea & Honey Lip Balm goes on smoothly to moisturize, soothe, soften and nourishes dry, cracked lips. We've blended together beeswax, shea butter, sweet almond oil and vitamin E oil to create this wonderful, smooth lip balm. We do not add sweeteners to our lip balms so they smell great but they do not have a taste. Safe for diabetics.

    Picked this up at a little roadside stand in Oregon during a family road trip from Cali. Been ordering it to be delivered back home ever since. It’s the best!

    Best Lib Balm Ever!

    Stopped at a little souvenir shop in Oregon while on a family road trip from LA to Washington up the 101. Lips were chapped so I grabbed some Oregon Rain Lip Balm while I was checking out. Been hooked ever since. I usually order 10 or more at a time and give them to friends and co-workers. Everyone loves it. Seriously, best lip balm I’ve ever used!

    This lip balm has a subtle scent of tea & honey. It makes me think of a drinking a soothing warm cup of tea & honey. I love the texture of the lip balm! I found it in the Portland airport and now order it online.
