Eucalyptus leaves are a traditional Aboriginal herbal remedy. The essential oil found in the leaves is a powerful antiseptic and is used all over the world for relieving coughs and colds and other infections.  It is one of our favorites to use in a diffuser during the winter. The scent is crisp, slightly sweet and fresh. It is also an essential oil we add to our revitalize soap, lotion and candle.

Benefits:

Eucalyptus has been found to be balancing, stimulating, refreshing, clearing, and purifying.  It has antiviral, antiseptic and disinfectant properties and may help repel insects.

Directions for Use:

Our essential oils are unadulterated which means they are 100% pure.  Never use pure essential oils directly on skin without diluting it first.

Diffusion:

Use three to four drops in the diffuse of your choice (always follow the instructions of your particular diffuser)

  • Combine equal drops of eucalyptus, lavender and tea tree to help relieve symptoms of a cold.
  • Add 2 drops to a tissue and carry it with you.

Topical use:

  • Add 4 or 5 drops to 1 oz. of a base oil (such as sweet almond oil, canola or olive oil) for a skin rub or massage to help relieve congestion.
  • Add 8—10 drops to a tub of warm water for a relaxing soak and help clear nasal passages. Use on it’s own or mix with other essential oils.  Never use pure essential oils directly on skin without diluting it first.
  • Add 2-3 drops to a few tablespoons of carrier oil and rub in sore achy muscles after a warm bath and before bedtime.

Mixes well with:

Lemon, Lavender, Thyme, Rosemary and Cedarwood

CAUTIONS:

Possible skin sensitivity. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas.  AVOID DURING PREGNANCY.
