About us

We are Johnna and Rob Zeigler, owners of Oregon Rain Soap company and Oregon Rain Naturals, LLC. We are a family owned and operated local business in the Pacific Northwest, near Portland, Oregon in a rural town called Sherwood. We make high quality, reasonably priced and naturally made products. I’ve been making soap since 1990. Soapmaking has been in my family since the late 1970’s. I was around nine years old when my mom, Elayne, started making soap. My mom and dad made unscented oatmeal soap for all of my upbringing. I had never used scented soaps until I went to college but I had adverse reactions to all the store bought soap. After I graduated college with a teaching degree, I wanted to try making soap for myself. With the help of my parents, they leant me the molds my dad built and taught me how to make soap from my heart. I knew then that I really wanted to make soap and sell it, calling it Oregon Rain Soap. But life continued on and that dream was set aside. I continued to make unscented soap just for my family and friends. It wasn’t until I met my husband Rob that I started adding scent to the soap. He knew how much I loved scents, so he bought me my first essential oil; lavender. Rob helped me make my first lavender batch and it was amazing. Everyone went crazy over it! Rob enjoyed soapmaking with me so we spent many hours researching and experimenting with different scents and herbs. I can honestly say, my husband made my dreams come true because in 2003 we started Oregon Rain Soap! Since then we have expanded into liquid foaming soaps, lotions, candles, lip balms, bath salts, aromatherapy essential oils and sprays. And in 2019 we added Oregon Rain Naturals, LLC to expand our product lines. I hope you feel the love and care we put into all of our products! Oregon Rain Moisturizing Foaming Hand Soap scent is fresh & clean. A mild scent that is suited for all!

Skin Care: Thick, fluffy lather that cleanses and moisturizes the hands.

This liquid soap is in a special bottle that when pumped will come out in a handful of foam.  All it takes is 1-2 pumps to cleanse the hands with this moisturizing cleansing soap.

    My sister first gave the lotion to me as a gift and I was hooked! The scent does smell like rain and when I use the hand soap the whole bath room has this nature smell to it.

    Most soothing soft soap. My husband loves it. Says it cleans really well & leaves his hands feeling better than any other soap. Great company to order from. Bought several for Christmas gifts.

    I first purchased this for my husband several months ago. He liked it so much, I purchased this soap again. The scent is refreshing while the soap has a lovely feel and doesn't dry out his hands. We both enjoy using this soap!

    Mild and Foamy

    Rain foaming hand soap is fun to use and is mild to my dry skin. We have the dispenser in our guest bathroom and it really looks classy as well as performing exceptionally well. We also like Oregon Rain Soap's flat shipping charge of $5.50 regardless of how big the order is. That policy encouraged me to add more to my order because their soap products are so kind to my sensitive skin.
